I am a licensed professional therapist with nearly 20 years of social work practice. I offer counseling/therapy services, health coaching and mindful movement sessions. I am compassionate, flexible and can help shape your perspective into a healthy and productive one. Whether it’s your career, your relationships, or anything else that’s important to you, I’ll help you develop the habits and skills to effectively deal with the challenges and emotional moments you may encounter in life. A little about me
For the last 16 years, I worked as a social worker in the schools and part time as a counselor/therapist. I started to notice a pull about 5 years ago to do something different. I also was struggling with a few stress related health issues and knew it was my body's ways of supporting me and nudging me to branch out. My health struggles led me to receive training as a health coach and have helped me to see mental health and physical health as connected in powerful ways. I incorporate health and wellness as well as mindful movement into my practice whether it's through counseling or health coaching. Create Calm and Focus
*Yoga Calm® sessions for children, teens and families– teaching and practicing self-regulation and mindfulness strategies through the use of breath, mindful movement, and relaxation techniques to manage stress, test-anxiety, anger management, calming nervous system, and more. I also offer consultations for teachers, counselors, and others who work with children to implement Yoga Calm® strategies. Self-pay for sessions.
Health and Wellness Goals
If you’re looking to improve your general health and wellness (as an adult, family or for your child), I am here to support you in your goals whether they be weight loss, increasing activity, improving food choices, etc., I will be there every step of the way to support and encourage you. I received training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition®. Health coaching can be done individually or in a group setting and sessions are self-pay.
